Sona Mohapatra the famous singer recently shared her thoughts on Aishwarya Rai’s transformation after she entered the film industry. According to the musician she noticed a shift in Aishwarya Rai’s personality - particularly how the actress seemed to tone down her natural intelligence to better fit into the cinemas ecosystem.
Sona Mohapatras Encounter With Aishwarya Rai
In an interview with Love Lingo Sona Mohapatra talked about her own approach to work and life. She revealed that she works 18 hours a day to avoid being controlled by anyone and mentioned You fit much better into the eco-system if you were also thoda bechara (a little helpless). You should know when to act stupid.
She then recalled her first encounter with Aishwarya Rai before the actress became a star. She shared that the actress was studying architecture at the time and she had taken a train to Mumbai for her NID entrance exams. She mentioned “She was older than me had a classmate family friends very close. She looked gorgeous she was so smart spoke very well top went on to be who she was.” However the singer noticed a change in the actors demeanour once she entered the film industry. She said “There was a period when I remember seeing her in interviews and saying ‘This isnt the Aishwarya I saw. She would have to somehow be very maybe diplomatic in any case but somehow giggle a lot. Maybe that was her phase.”
She concluded by saying that the film industry may have played a role in this change. She said “But I kept thinking ‘She is a very intelligent woman.’ But the industry she is in maybe compels her to not be just too smart I might be wrong. She toned down.”
