Peanut barfi Recipe: While the winter season is going on, there is a need to pay attention to health in this season. Peanuts have many benefits in this season. Peanut Barfi is such a sweet which is very easy to make and its taste is also very wonderful. It is a popular sweet in India and is made during festivals and special occasions.
Peanuts are rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals, so it is not only tasty but also beneficial for health.
Material :
2 cups peanuts (roasted and peeled)
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup milk powder
2-3 tbsp ghee
1/4 tsp cardamom powder (optional)
Some finely chopped almonds or pistachios (for garnish)
Method :
Grind the roasted and peeled peanuts in a mixer and make a fine powder.
Put sugar and water in a pan and put it on gas. Keep stirring continuously until the sugar dissolves. When the syrup becomes one string, turn off the gas.
Mix ground peanuts, milk powder and cardamom powder together in the mixer.
Now slowly add hot syrup to this mixture and keep stirring continuously. Keep in mind, the syrup will be very hot so be careful.
Cook this mixture while stirring continuously until it thickens and starts sticking together.
Switch off the gas and take out this mixture in a plate and spread it. Garnish with finely chopped almonds or pistachios on top.
When this mixture cools completely, cut it into desired shapes and serve.
