This star kid followed in her star parents’ footsteps by choosing a career in the film industry but despite her early success she couldnt achieve the long-lasting fame she wished for. This actress worked alongside some of the film industrys biggest stars including Salman Khan Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan but her career didn’t take off the way she wished. The actress we are talking about is Twinkle Khanna.
Twinkle Khannas Acting Career
Twinkle Khanna is the daughter of two legendary stars - Rajesh Khanna and Dimple Kapadia - and has had her own share of success and setbacks in the film world. Although she started her career with a hit film her journey in showbiz was short-lived and she left the industry after only a few years.
The actress made her debut with Rajkumar Santoshis Barsaat alongside Bobby Deol in 1995 and she received the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut for her performance. Later she was seen in several hit movies including Baadshah Mela Jodi No.1 and Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai. She also gave a series of disaster films including Joroo Ka Ghulam Jodi No. 1 Yeh Hai Mumbai Meri Jaan and Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega. In 2000 her most significant setback came with Mela alongside Aamir Khan.
Twinkle Khanna Stepped Away From Acting
After her last film Love Ke Liye Kuch Bhi Karega Twinkle Khanna decided to step away from the film industry. In 2001 she married actor Akshay Kumar and together have a son Aarav and a daughter Nitara. After leaving the film industry she has reinvented herself as a successful writer and has written several books. In addition to her writing she has ventured into film production and has worked on films like Tees Maar Khan Thank You Patiala House Khiladi 786 and Padman.

Born in 1973 the actress attended the New Era High School Panchgani and the Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics. Later she wished to pursue a career as a chartered accountant but entered the showbiz instead. In 2022 she went on to pursue her masters in fiction writing at Goldsmiths University of London.
