Islamabad (Pakistan) December 30 (ANI): Thousands of Pakistanis marched in solidarity with Gaza in Islamabad on December 29 calling for an end to the war. Pakistan’s major Islamist party Jamaat-e-Islami held a mass rally in the capital city. The party's leader called on the Pakistani government to recognise Hamas as a legitimate military force and isolate Israel. Israel's campaign against Hamas in Gaza has killed more than 45,300 Palestinians, according to health officials in the Hamas-run enclave. Most of the population of 2.3 million people have been displaced and much of Gaza is in ruins. The war was triggered by a Hamas attack on southern Israel on Oct 7, 2023, in which 1,200 people were killed.
