Though Govinda may be away from the film industry today there was a time when he was so in demand that he didn’t even have time to sign films. For years he ruled the industry with his impeccable talent and now his son is all set to enter the world of acting. Scroll down to find more details.
After Rajesh Khanna Govinda was one of the biggest stars who had filmmakers excited to sign him. Known for working on his own terms Govinda proved time and again that he was a guarantee for success with every role he played. While todays stars are very selective about their careers and think carefully before choosing films Govinda never worried about his future. He was known for working on multiple films simultaneously never turning down any opportunity.
Govinda has acted in nearly 125 films and ruled the Indian film industry for over two decades. But his journey to success wasn’t easy. The actor always credited his mother for the greatest share of his success acknowledging the role she played in shaping his career.
He began his journey in 1986 with the film Tan-Badan a project that came his way because of his uncle. He revealed this in an interview with Lahrein. By 1999 BBC had listed him among the worlds top 10 biggest stars securing the 10th spot.
Govinda starred in numerous superhits and blockbusters and filmmakers would line up just to have him in their films. However there came a time when his films began to decline and he took a step back from the industry.
Now Govinda’s son Yashvardhan Ahuja is ready to carve out his own path in acting. He will make his debut in the film industry with a movie directed by the National Award-winning director Sai Rajesh. In the new year of 2025 Yashvardhan Ahuja will step onto the silver screen continuing his fathers legacy and attempting to make his mark in Bollywood.
