In 2016, a talk show was started on Zee TV, in which Sajid Khan and Ritesh Deshmukh were seen as hosts. In this show, celebrities used to come to promote films and used to narrate different film stories. Once, Shahrukh Khan and Anushka Sharma came to this show for the promotion of the film Jab Harry Met Sejal (2017) and they had a lot of fun here.
During this conversation, Shahrukh Khan narrated the story of a director which was quite interesting. The actor did not reveal the name of the director but he told how Shahrukh had saved him when the public was beating him.
In this show, Sajid Khan had asked Shahrukh Khan, 'You were shooting for a film, suddenly your director started beating you. You don't take his name, but you directly jumped into the public and brought him out, what was that?' On this, Shahrukh Khan had said, 'One of our directors was very emotional and passionate during shooting. Meaning, if the shot was wrong or within the shooting range, he would attack.

Shahrukh had further said in the same conversation, 'But he is very good at heart. There are many directors, if they are sitting normally then it is fine, but if they are shooting then they become aggressive and then no matter who is in front, everyone gets scolded. If the shot went wrong, he would start scolding, but he is very sweet. One day we were shooting at a petrol pump and everything was real.
Shahrukh further said, 'About 20-25 people used to work at that petrol pump and they were removed for some time, but when the shots start being given, the field should be clear, everything should be perfect, this is what everyone knows. No one would know. Same nature of my director, he started shouting and saying something to the petrol pump attendants. 20-25 employees there started beating him there.

Shahrukh Khan had further said in the same conversation, 'We were ready for the shoot but were at some distance and we did not understand why he was being beaten and when he got badly hurt, I went among the public and saw the three wheeler driver there. Sir, he made the director sit in his car and drove away from there. Everyone started looking at me as if they were going to beat me but it did not happen. If I had not done this, they would have taken his life. So sometimes such people are also found while working.
Anushka Sharma, Sajid Khan and Riteish Deshmukh laughed a lot at this story, but the name of the director was not revealed. If we talk about the film Jab Harry Met Sejal, it was released in 2014 and proved to be a flop at the box office.
