How to check PF Balance: If you are employed, a part of the Provident Fund (PF) is deducted from your salary every month. This amount is for your savings and retirement. 1. Check through the EPFO portal
You can get information about your PF balance by visiting the official website of EPFO (Employees' Provident Fund Organisation). For this, you have to follow the steps given below:
Visit the EPFO website.
Go to the 'Our Services' section and click on 'For Employees'.
Select the 'Member Passbook' option.
Enter your UAN number and password.
After login, you can see your passbook, where you will get information about your PF balance and deposited amount.
2. Get information through SMS
If your UAN number is activated, you can also get information about your PF balance through SMS. For this:
Type 'EPFOHO UAN' from your registered mobile number.
Send it to 7738299899.
You will receive information about your PF balance through SMS.
3. Check balance through missed call
EPFO has also provided the facility to check PF balance through missed calls. For this:
Give a missed call to 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number.
PF balance information will be sent to your mobile within a few seconds.
4. Information through the UMANG app
You can also check your PF balance information through the UMANG (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) app.
Download the UMANG app.
Select the 'EPFO' option.
Click on 'Employee-Centric Services'.
Enter your UAN number and OTP.
Here you can check your PF balance and other details.
5. Contact the office
If you are not able to get the information through any of the above means, then you can contact the HR department of your company. They can provide information about your PF details.
