Chitradurga: BJP MP Govind Karjol criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, alleging that his leadership has led to a rise in suicides among the people of Karnataka.
Addressing a press conference, Karjol cited the case of Chandra Shekhar, a government official involved in a corruption case related to the Valmiki Corporation, who allegedly took his own life. He also mentioned that due to the BJP’s protests, Minister Nagendra had to resign from his position. Similarly, Rudranna Yadavanavar named Minister Lakshmi Hebbalkar’s aide in his death note.
He also referred to suicides in Davangere, Magadi, Yadgir PSI Parashuram, and most recently, Sachin Bidar, whose death note reportedly mentions several prominent leaders were allegedly involved in a conspiracy.
Karjol claimed the influential Kharge family was hindering a fair investigation, further alleging systemic failures in governance.
