Ration Card: Good news for those with ration cards.. 6 kg of fine rice per person?

Free Fine Rice: Revanth Sarkar has given another sweet message to the poor of Telangana. The government is ready to provide fine rice to beneficiaries with ration cards. To this end, Civil Supplies Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy made a key announcement.

The minister said that fine rice is currently being provided in Anganwadi centres and government schools, and soon it will be provided to all beneficiaries through ration dealers. He clarified that 6 kg of fine rice will be provided free of cost to each person per month. He revealed that steps have already been taken to purchase fine rice from farmers and store it in godowns, and the milling process is ongoing.
Bonus payment to farmers
The minister said that a bonus of Rs. 500 has been given to those who purchased fine rice from farmers, and the payments have been completed without any arrears. He said that this time 80-85 lakh metric tons of fine rice was produced, of which 36 lakh tons will be enough for the PDS. He explained that 2 lakh tons of fine rice will be distributed per month.
Grant of new ration cards
People have been waiting for a long time for new ration cards. Those who have started families and newly married people are mostly waiting for ration cards. In this context, the government has revealed that new ration cards will be granted after the Sankranti festival. It is preparing to give new ration cards to about 30 lakh eligible people based on applications.
Construction of houses for the poor
The minister said that 2,160 houses under construction in Huzurnagar will be completed in two months and handed over to the poor. He said that the welfare of the poor is the priority of his government. Key decisions will be taken regarding ration cards in the upcoming cabinet meeting. It is reported that there will be a discussion on taking more steps for the welfare of the poor. These measures announced by the government for the poor of Telangana will play a key role in improving their living standards.
