“For the upcoming Mahakumbh Mela, IMD launched a special webpage today which will give weather updates every 15 minutes, and the weather forecast will also be available on the website twice a day,” Ranalkar told the press.
He said that Mahakumbh has been created as a provisional district.

The district of Mahakumbh has been created as a temporary one. Three additional AWS have been installed, and the website will now provide weather updates from the Mahakumbh District every fifteen minutes. In order to provide people with real-time weather information, two digital screens will also be installed around the district,” the IMD scientist said.

The Mahanirvani Akhara’s sadhus had earlier sung the name of Mahadev as they approached the Mahakumbh camp while being accompanied by the banging of a miniature two-headed drum called a “damaru.”

Police officers with garlands greeted the Atal Akhara seers as they arrived at the Mahakumbh camp in a magnificent procession. Wearing garlands, riding horses, thumping drums, and submerged in ashes, they made their way into the camp area. Additionally, a few seers were seen carrying the Akhara’s flags.

“Everyone should come to the Kumbh Mela to witness the unity of the people gathered here and try to promote and establish similar unity in their own countries,” said Vishwasanand Saraswati, Acharya of Atal Akhada.

Great preparations have been made for this year’s Mahakumbh Mela, according to spiritual leader Jagadguru Narendracharyaji Maharaj, who attended the 2019 event.

Held once in 12 years, the Mahakumbh is set to take place in Prayagraj from January 13 to February 26.
On January 14th (Makar Sankranti), January 29th (Mauni Amavasya), and February 3rd (Basant Panchami), the principal bathing ceremonies, called Shahi Snan (royal baths), will be held.
