Ingredients for making Gum Laddu
Gum – 2-3 tablespoons
Ghee – 2 tablespoons
Peanuts (soaked) – 1 cup
Sesame seeds – 1/4 cup
Dates (chopped) – 1/4 cup
Semolina – 2 tablespoons
Almonds (chopped) – 2 tablespoons
Pistachios (chopped) – 1 tablespoon
Coconut (grated) – 1/4 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Cardamom powder – 1/2 teaspoon
Method
To make Gum Laddu, first roast the Gum on a pan on low flame, so that it becomes crispy and light brown. For Laddus, the Gum should always be puffed and crispy. When it is roasted properly, break it into small pieces. After roasting the gum, lightly roast the peanuts on the pan and remove its skin and cut it into small pieces. After this, lightly roast the sesame seeds on the pan. Now lightly roast the semolina in ghee, so that its flavor comes out. Finally, roast the coconut a little in ghee.
Now it is time to make laddus, so first of all add 1/4 cup water in a pan and heat sugar in it and make syrup. After the sugar dissolves completely, add cardamom powder to it and mix well. This syrup should be of one string.
Now put roasted gum, peanuts, sesame seeds, dates, semolina, coconut, almonds, and pistachios in a large vessel. After this add syrup and mix well. Now let this mixture cool for a while. When this mixture becomes a little lukewarm, apply ghee on your hands and make small laddus. You can put cashews or almonds on it to decorate it.
