Expressing dissatisfaction over the work of the health department in Nabanna on Thursday, the Chief Minister said in a critical tone, 'Does Swasthya Bhawan work or is it a rumour?' After this, the Health Secretary released the duty roster of the medical college doctors during their stay in the hospital within 24 hours. The Health Department has decided guidelines for teachers and doctors of medical colleges.
Guidelines issued for doctors working in medical college
In the instructions issued by the Health Department, it has been said that the presence of senior faculty during night duty is mandatory from now on.
Assistant professors have to perform emergency, on-call, ward duties as well as the role of teacher-doctor. Morning and evening visits to the in-division, emergency wards of each unit are mandatory
On the day of patient admission, senior doctors of the concerned unit will have to remain in the OPD till 2 pm. At least one doctor from each unit should meet the patient's family for two hours.
Heads of departments will monitor patients from units other than their own. From now onwards doctors of Anatomy, Physiology, Bio Chemistry will also have to do general OPD.

If necessary, the State Medical Council or NMC will bring the negligence of the government doctor to the notice of the Swasthya Bhavan.
Death audit of dead patients has been made mandatory in government hospitals. Swasthya Bhavan said that the unit head will be responsible for the death of the patient due to negligence.
It is mandatory for junior doctors to be present in the hospital till 6 pm. Doctors of pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, hematology, radiology will have to be present in the hospital all the time.
After reaching the hospital, the patient will be sent to Green, Yellow and Red zones according to his physical condition. Under the leadership of the Medical Officer, junior doctors will decide which patient will be sent to which zone. Any patient will be referred to the red zone.
Medical infrastructure with 10 beds will have to be created in the Red Zone. In the Yellow Zone, patients will be treated on trolleys and mobile beds.
In the emergency ward itself, the computer will know how many beds are vacant in which ward. There will be biometric attendance of all health workers in the hospital. Additional Medical Superintendent will be in charge of emergency administration.
