New Delhi: The governing Aam Admi Party was accused of embezzling public funds by BJP National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi.
“The Delhi government’s reliance on funds provided by the central government has increased threefold compared to 2014-15,” Trivedi said at a news conference in the nation’s capital. Due to its poor administration and misuse of public funds, the AAP has put the people of Delhi in a dire predicament.
“…they create an Aapda (disaster) situation wherever they (are in power).” You may visit Punjab, a whole state, to be sure. Where does Punjab’s investment stand presently in relation to the previous three years?
A group of ladies reportedly from Punjab demonstrated outside AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal’s home on Saturday. A protest against the AAP was also held here by the Punjab Congress chapter.
Virendraa Sachdeva, the president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Delhi, attacked Arvind Kejriwal earlier in the day for allegedly lying in his remarks on the city’s water status.
“Today, Arvind Kejriwal has lied once again. There is a serious problem with Delhi’s water supply. The outrageous water bills, which total lakhs, have been upsetting many locals who were previously leading tranquil lives. Speaking to the media, Sachdeva said, “Kejriwal has declared that the people should wait for elections and not clear these bills.”
Kejriwal claimed earlier on Saturday that his administration had been giving out free water to the public for a decade.
“For the last ten years, our Delhi government has been giving citizens free water. Over 12 lakh households get no water bills. However, Kejriwal told reporters, “I don’t know what these people did after I went to jail.”
Although the dates have not yet been announced by the Election Commission of India, the assembly elections in Delhi are anticipated to take place in February 2025.
The Congress party, which ruled Delhi for 15 years in a row, has not won any seats in the last two assembly elections.
In the 2020 assembly elections, the AAP took home 62 of the 70 seats, while the BJP took home eight.
