“Some Muslim extremists want to cause environmental disruption. The Kumbh has been in existence for millennia prior to the establishment of Islam. How could Waqf have been before Kumbh while Islam did not exist before Kumbh? Singh told the journalists.

Singh said that Akhilesh Yadav, Rahul Gandhi, and other politicians were not discussing this at all.
“Mamata Banerjee, Lalu Yadav, Akhilesh Yadav, and Rahul Gandhi are unable to comment on this… “It is a regrettable circumstance, and those engaged in vote-bank politics have created it,” he said.

This comes after Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi, head of the All India Muslim Jammat (AIMJ), said that Waqf owned the site where the Maha Kumbh 2025 preparations were being done and that Muslims were not allowed to enter.

In a post on X, Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi Barelvi claimed that the Waqf owned the area where shamiyanas and tents had been erected. There are around 54 bighas on this property.

“Waqf-54 bighas own the land where the Kumbh Mela preparations are being done. Although the Muslims were kind and did not oppose, the Akhada Parishad and other Babas are preventing Muslims from entering. In a post on X, Razvi Barelvi said, “We must abandon this narrow-mindedness and exhibit a broad heart like Muslims.”

Sadhvi Rithambara, the founder of Param Shakti Peeth and Vatsalyagram, criticized any claims made on the Maha Kumbh 2025 property earlier today. She added that ‘Dharam’ and ‘punya’ may be obtained there and that all lands owned by the Waqf board should be turned over to the government.

“Those who divided the country based on religion, are capturing India’s land with the conspiracy of Waqf, this conspiracy should be stopped… politics should not be played (regarding Maha Kumbh), it is a place to get ‘Dharam’ and ‘Punya’,” Rithambara said.

Rithambara went on to say that the government need to acquire all of the Waqf Board’s assets.

“Everyone need to go to the Maha Kumbh. When a “Mahapurna” Kumbh occurs after 12 Kumbhs, all of the waqf’s possessions need to belong to the government, she informed the media.

After twelve years, the world’s greatest spiritual gathering, the Maha Kumbh, is being held, and from January 13 to February 26, Prayagraj is set to see a massive influx of believers. The district government has been taking significant measures to protect the devotees from accidents, particularly with regard to crowd control and preventing fire occurrences.
