Making bacon in an air fryer is not only healthier and takes less time, but it also makes the bacon taste much better.
When bacon is fried, the fatty white part cooks much quicker than the pink meat, which can result in the edges of the bacon being burned while the middle is often undercooked.
When bacon is cooked in an air fryer, the heat surrounds every part of the bacon, crisping it up evenly and giving it a better, crunchier texture.
Cooking without oil means the bacon will not soak in grease, so it will taste better and there will be less mess when you bite into your bacon sandwich.
The best way to cook bacon in the air fryerSimply line an air fryer tray or basket with baking paper and then place your bacon on it.
Make sure the bacon does not overlap so each slice cooks evenly. It is fine if the bacon touches each other, but make sure the rashers are not on top of each other.
Preheat the air fryer for three minutes at 200C. Then add your bacon and cook for five minutes.
Drain the fat and flip the bacon over when the cooking time is up. Then cook it again for two to three minutes.
