Nooran said that he had told Vivian that things like their faith, language etc. are different. During this she said, “I am just clarifying that Vivian was not a Hindu. He was a Christian. Christianity and Islam are both Abrahamic religions, so they have the same origin. But in my religion women do not convert.”
Nooran said that he had also taken a break in his relationship with Vivian. During this time, Vivian became interested in Islam and started reading about it. She says, “I came to know from a mutual friend that he was reading about my religion, for himself, not for me. I had no interference in this.”
Nooran said, “He studied about it. “He went out and asked people questions, then after 6 months he told my friend that he wanted to talk to me because he was ready to do this for himself, not for me.” Nooran said that even if I had decided that I did not want to live with him, he would have converted because he was doing it for himself.
