In a tragic incident on Monday, eight security personnel and a civilian lost their lives when Naxalites detonated an improvised explosive device (IED) targeting their vehicle in Bijapur district, Chhattisgarh. The attack occurred on the Bedre-Kutru Road, a region notorious for frequent Naxalite activities, police officials confirmed.The vehicle was carrying members of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), a specialized anti-Naxal unit, when the explosion took place.
