A sex racket running under the guise of spa centres in Bhopal was busted. 35 girls and 33 boys were arrested. Police conducted raids at several places.
Spa centre raid Bhopal: On Saturday, in Madhya Pradesh's capital Bhopal, the crime branch police took major action against the sex racket running in the name of spa centres. This operation was carried out in various police station areas of Bhopal city, in which 10 teams of the crime branch raided several spa centres one after the other. During this, the police exposed those spa centres where the sex racket business was going on. A total of 35 girls and 33 boys were caught in this action.
10 teams of the Crime Branch raided 5 spa centres in 3 police station areas. 6 girls and 6 boys were caught in the Wellness Spa located in the Kamla Nagar police station area, while 22 girls and 18 boys were arrested from Green Valley Spa in Baghsewania. 3 girls and 5 boys were caught from Mikasho Spa located in MP Nagar. In total, 35 girls and 33 boys were arrested at these spa centres. Apart from this, liquor bottles and objectionable materials have also been recovered from these centres.
250 policemen from the Crime Branch and Bhopal Police took part in this operation. These teams raided spa centres one after the other, which created panic in the entire city. Many spa centre operators closed their shops and fled, due to which the police could not take action in some places. Police also raided Ashima Mall located in the Misrod police station area, but all the spa centres were found closed.
ACP Crime Branch, Mukhtar Qureshi said that complaints of sex rackets being run under the guise of spa centres were being received continuously. After this, the police formed a special team to take action on this and conducted raids on a large scale. Further action will be taken in those spa centres which were found closed.
