AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing Dani Olmo during the January transfer window.
The Euro 2024 winner recently made the high-profile switch from Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig to the Spanish giants over the summer window.
However, Olmo’s Barca future has been thrown into serious doubt, with the Catalan club currently failing to register the attacker for the second half of the campaign.
The Spaniard made an excellent start to life at Camp Nou, scoring five goals across 11 La Liga appearances as Hansi Flick‘s side chase the title.
Olmo missed Barca’s return from the winter break due to the registration issue and last featured during the 2-1 defeat to Atletico Madrid on December 21.

Barcelona to lose Olmo this month?
According to Football EspanaBarcelona are facing the possibility of losing star player Olmo to a European rival during the January window.
The report claims that AC Milan are keen on securing the services of the 26-year-old on a unique deal until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
It is understood that the Rossoneri are looking at the free signing of Olmo on a six-month contract while Barca are unable to register the player.
AC Milan are allegedly willing to match the wages that the Spaniard receives at Camp Nou for the remainder of the current season.
As well as the Italian giants, Premier League contenders Manchester City and Arsenal are also supposedly eyeing up cheeky swoops for Olmo this month.

Olmo’s awful situation
Signing a six-year contract at the club last summer, Olmo is understandably not keen on a permanent move from Barcelona during the current window.
The 26-year-old might have to deal with a short stint away from the Catalan giants, while Barca navigate their tricky registration issues.
Olmo has never played in either England or Italy, so a New Year switch to any of the aforementioned clubs would represent a new challenge.
