However, his sensational rise up the rankings already means a June debut awaits him as he's poised to team up with Humphries for the PDC World Cup of Darts doubles event, which selects pairs based on the highest-ranked players from each country in the Order of Merit.

Littler's stunning victory at Ally Pally means he has accumulated over £1million in ranking funds, nearly £500,000 ahead of Rob Cross – who's the only player close enough to challenge his World Cup position, though this remains highly unlikely.
The pairing of Humphries and Littler will almost certainly head to Frankfurt then, where they'll endeavour to retain the title secured by Cool Hand and the currently struggling Michael Smith back in 2024.

"I cannot wait," Littler excitingly stated when asked about the competition. "Last year, people didn't know it was based on your ranking, and everyone was asking: 'Why is Luke Littler not in the World Cup?' I was like: 'Because I've only just started my career.'
"But now, obviously, the major ranking money goes on to the rankings, and I think I'm pretty much in with Luke," the youngster admitted.
The 'Bully Boy' – who has since fallen out of the world's top 16 thanks to a loss against Kevin Doets at Ally Pally – alongside partner Humphries faced off against France, Northern Ireland and last time out, heading into the final showdown against surprise packet Austria, reports .
With an impressive average of over 100, England's Humphries and Smith clinched their first title since and Adrian Lewis triumphed over Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld back in 2016.
Set to be the top seed for the 2025 renewal – thanks to the pairing's average rank – 'The Nuke' is poised to continue his meteoric rise in the darts world and challenge for yet another piece of silverware.
