Mahakumbh 2025 Security Arrangements: A strong security apparatus has been put in place to guarantee the safety of the millions of devotees who will be attending Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj. Mahakumbhnagar is being watched by more than 15,000 police officers; 400 of them are female security guards. Three police lines, complete with armories, storehouses, and counting offices, have been set up with special lodgings and food for these personnel.
Improved Hygiene and Health Initiatives
The health and hygiene of police officers deployed from over 70 regions are receiving special care. To ensure the well-being of security officers, a central cafeteria inside the police lines serves sanitary meals, such as tea and coffee. Inspector Vilas Yadav stated that police officers work eight-hour shifts.
Monitoring Driven by Technology
To make security operations more efficient, specialized software has been released. All deployed personnel’s full information is stored in the app, enabling immediate identification using face recognition. In order to guarantee accountability, it also makes digital attendance easier.
Specialized Facilities for Female Employees
400 female cops will be housed in a separate women’s police colony with amenities specifically designed to meet their requirements, including a canteen and mess.
High-Tech Safety at Crucial Crossroads
Self-loading rifles (SLRs), INSAS rifles, and other cutting-edge weapons have been used by the Commissionerate Police to fortify city crossings. In order to increase vehicle and human inspections, zigzag barriers have been installed at 10 key checkpoints on important roadways. Continuous patrols are conducted by armored vehicles mounted with light machine guns (LMGs).
All-encompassing Planning and Monitoring
A strong security plan has been developed by Police Commissioner Tarun Gaba and top officials, who have drawn comparisons to policies in delicate areas like Jammu and Kashmir. Extensive CCTV coverage supports on-ground monitoring, and real-time surveillance is ensured by staff in control centers.
Safety in Both Urban and Rural Settings
Along with the city of Prayagraj, other areas like Ganganagar and Yamunanagar have also seen increased security. Pilgrims have begun to arrive even though the Maha Kumbh Mela officially starts on January 13, highlighting the need for these strict precautions.
