Difficulties have increased due to HMPV infection in India. The third case of HMPV has been reported in India. A two-month-old baby has been reported in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and earlier two cases have been reported in Karnataka. The Union Health Ministry has been alerted. An appeal has been made to be cautious regarding this virus. The first case of HMPV infection has been found in India. Human metapneumovirus (HMPV infection) has been found in an eight-month-old baby in Bengaluru. According to media reports, the child was admitted to a private hospital after persistent fever.

The most common symptoms of HMPV infection are cough and fever. Its symptoms are exactly like viral, but if the effect of the virus is more then the risk of pneumonia and bronchitis increases.

According to health experts, if you are infected with HMPV infection, consume fruits rich in Vitamin C like orange, grapes and guava. This improves the immune system. Apart from this, include green vegetables like spinach, broccoli, and carrots in your diet.

Whole grains such as brown rice, quinoa, and whole wheat flour are rich in fiber and vitamins and help build immunity. Consume meat, fish, eggs and pulses. This strengthens the immune system. Keep yourself hydrated.

Drink adequate amount of water. Keep in mind that when you have HMPV infection, avoid consuming sugar and sweet things. Also, stay away from processed foods, unhealthy fats, foods high in salt and caffeine and alcohol.
