Hair Fall: Women often complain of hair fall. Especially when she is brushing her hair, putting a band or clip on her hair or making a bun. Meanwhile, he makes a mistake while styling his hair due to which his hair starts breaking. Recently a celeb hairstylist has told about this. Amit Thakur, hair stylist of many celebrities like Nita Ambani, Katrina Kaif and Alia Bhatt, has shared a video on Instagram.
In his video, Amit told how 'women who tie their hair in ponytail can have damaged hair. If you regularly make very tight ponytails in your hair, there is a risk of your hair breaking and falling. Pulling hair puts pressure on the roots. This can damage your hair follicles which causes hair fall. Tight ponytail also increases hair fall. This can cause a condition called traction alopecia. Traction alopecia occurs when hair is regularly pulled back and tied into ponytails or braids or cornrows. Early symptoms of traction alopecia include hair loss or thinning hair, especially around the head and neck.
In more severe cases, traction alopecia can cause scalp ulcers and skin lesions. This does not mean that we should not make ponytails or buns at all. If you tie your ponytail instead, make sure the hairline is a little loose. If your hair is looking curly then you can apply products like hairspray or cream to give it a smooth look. It's okay to have a tight hairstyle sometimes, but like your skin, you need your hair to breathe, so leave it loose.'
