The rising number of suicide cases is a matter of concern. The incidents of student suicides are increasing continuously in Kota. Last year 16 students committed suicide here, whereas this year this is the first case. In the last eight years, more than 90 cases of suicide have been reported in Kota.
According to experts, the main reasons for suicide include academic pressure, poor performance in coaching, high expectations of parents, and mental stress. Financial problems and personal life troubles also push students towards this fatal step.
The increasing incidents of suicide in Kota are a matter of serious concern. The administration, coaching institutes and parents should take measures to reduce the pressure on students. It is also very important to spread awareness of mental health and provide counselling services to students. Many parents are now afraid of sending their children to Kota. Due to these incidents in Kota, Sikar is now becoming a new coaching hub.
