Asias richest man and Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambanis sons wedding was undoubtedly a lavish affair. However the business tycoon stayed true to his roots ensuring the best experience for the guests who attended his son Anant Ambanis wedding last year. The Ambanis have a deep love for Kathiyawadi cuisine and they knew that no one could present it better than Nikunj Vasoya. With over 21 years of expertise in Kathiyawadi cuisine he hails from Jamnagar and played an important role in Anant Ambanis wedding Vasoyas cooking talent made him a favorite of the Ambanis and it shows that his craft has not only provided him with employment but also earned him recognition bringing him closer to the business tycoon. Vasoya is a native of Khijadiya Jamnagar. Born to a cotton farmer he had a modest childhood. He realized that good food could bring joy to people. Although he initially enrolled in a computer science course he left it after a few days to pursue his true passion. Today he runs a YouTube channel where he shares his recipes with others. On meeting with Ambanis he told Indian Express that it was a U-turn of his career when he cooked Kathiyawadi foods for the Ambanis. He said the family liked it and Nita Ambani called him on the very next day. He said he cooked Kathiyawadi meals over a dozen times for the family.  He  cooked Jamnagari Sev Mamra Lili Chutney Desi Sev Tamera Shaak and Bajri Rotla at the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani in July last year. As Kathiyawadi cuisines have spices he kept it lower for the international guests who had attended the event.  Of late a video of Vasoya remembering the best moments of 2024 while showcasing Ambani and Salman Khan went viral on social media.
