Hyundai Verna gets two new variants: What’s new?

The Hyundai Verna is among the safest vehicles in the Indian market, having earned a 5star rating from Global NCAP for both adult and child occupant safety. The South Korean automaker has now updated the sedan, adding new features and introducing two new variants. Here’s everything you need to know about the 2025 Hyundai Verna.The new Verna 1.5litre turbo S(O) is the most affordable dualclutch transmission (DCT) variant in its lineup. It is priced at Rs 15.27 lakh, exshowroom, and is packed with luxury and convenience features like a sunroof, an 8inch touchscreen Infotainment display, Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, sporty looking allblack 16inch alloy wheels, an automatic climate control, a wireless charger, rear camera with guidelines and much more. To soup up the Verna, Hyundai has introduced red front brake callipers. Hyundai has added a new, convenient and valueformoney variant, the Verna S IVT. This trim is powered by naturally aspirated petrol and is mated to an automatic CVT gearbox. Hyundai believes this will make the driving experience effortless without compromising on fuel economy. The new variant gets features like a sunroof, and three drive modes —Eco, Normal, Sport and paddle shifters for a comfortable and involving driving experience. India’s number two carmaker has spruced up the current Verna S MT petrol variant with the everpopular sunroof.The Hyundai Verna is offered with two engine options: a 1.5litre NA petrol and a 1.5litre turbo petrol. The NA petrol variant is priced between Rs 11 lakh and Rs 16.29 lakh (exshowroom Delhi) and now includes an updated trim, the S MT, along with a new variant, the S IVT. The turbo petrol version is priced from Rs 14.93 lakh to Rs 17.48 lakh (exshowroom Delhi) and introduces a new variant, the S(O) DCT.
