New Delhi: As the Champions Trophy 2025 approaches, concerns about the injury of Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah have started increasing. The question is arising whether Bumrah will be able to be a part of Team India in this great tournament or not. A recent report said that Bumrah can participate in the Champions Trophy on one condition. According to the report, Bumrah has consulted a New Zealand expert regarding his injury.

Team will be declared by 12th January

Actually, all the teams have to declare their provisional squads for the Champions Trophy by January 12. According to a report, Bumrah will be able to play in the Champions Trophy only if he is free from any kind of pain after bowling. It was also reported that Bumrah had consulted New Zealand orthopedic surgeon Dr Rowan Schouten, who operated on him in 2023, about his back injury. Dr. Schouten is in touch with the BCCI medical team.

Bumrah got hurt

Recently, Bumrah was injured during the final match of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy played between India and Australia. Bumrah suffered back spasm in this match played in Sydney, after which he was sent for scan. After the scan, he could not bowl in India's second innings, but came on the field to bat. It is also noteworthy that Bumrah was the highest wicket-taker in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25. He took 32 wickets at an average of 13 and for this performance he was also named 'Player of the Series'.
