SBI has launched two new schemes. Customers will not only get huge profits but also other benefits. The two schemes are ‘The Har Ghar Lakshpati RD Scheme’ and ‘The SBI Patrons FD Scheme’.
‘Har Ghar Lakshpati’ is a pre-calculated recurring deposit scheme. In this, customers can deposit Rs 1 lakh or its multiple. ‘SBI Patrons’ is a fixed deposit scheme. It is specially designed for senior citizens aged 80 years and above.
SBI said in a statement that the ‘Har Ghar Lakshpati’ scheme has been brought keeping in mind that customers can easily achieve their financial goals. Minors can also invest in it. This will help them quickly make financial plans and develop the habit of saving.
‘SBI Patron’ is a special fixed deposit scheme which has been brought keeping in mind senior citizens aged 80 years and above. The interest rate in this scheme is also relatively high. The bank said in a statement that existing and new fixed deposit investors can invest in the 'SBI Patron' scheme.
Interest rates on fixed deposits for senior citizens: 4.00 per cent for a tenor of 7 days to 45 days, 6.00 per cent for a tenor of 46 days to 179 days, 6.75 per cent for a tenor of 180 days to 210 days, 7.00 per cent for a tenor of 211 days to less than 1 year, 7.30 per cent for a tenor of 1 year to less than 2 years, 7.50 per cent for a tenor of 2 years to less than 3 years, 7.25 per cent for a tenor of 3 years to less than 5 years, 7.50 per cent for a tenor of 5 years and 10 years.
Interest rates on recurring deposits for general customers and senior citizens: 6.80 per cent to 7.30 per cent for a tenor of 1 year to 1 year 364 days, 7.00 per cent to 7.50 per cent for a tenor of 2 years to 2 years 364 days, 6.50 per cent to 7.00 per cent for a tenor of 3 years to 4 years 364 days and 6.50 per cent to 7.00 per cent for a tenor of 5 years to 10 years.
SBI has also launched the SBI V-Care Deposit Scheme for senior citizens with a tenure of fewer than 5 years to 10 years at an interest rate of 7.50 per cent. There is also a 444-day FD scheme. It offers an interest rate of 7.75 per cent. However, investments in this scheme can be made only till March 31, 2025.
