During the meeting, the district magistrate instructed that the required security measures be taken within a 10-kilometer radius to manage animal activity and bird strikes in the airport’s operational area.

SDM Doiwala, MDDA, and airport authorities were instructed by the District Magistrate to jointly check the area around the airport and provide a report on the unapproved work that was being carried out without a NOC.

The Sub-District Magistrate/Administrator of Municipal Council Doiwala was instructed by the District Magistrate to have the rubbish point cleaned on a regular basis. Instructions were provided to dispose of the trash gathered around the airport’s perimeter and remove the rubbish point since birds lingering over the locations enhance the likelihood of collisions during airplane landings.

According to an official press release, District Magistrate Savin Bansal issued stringent directives to all sub-district magistrates and tehsildars on revenue recovery in the Dehradun district earlier on January 8. As a result, the concerned officers are continuing to work quickly throughout the district.

The completion of the attachment and auction procedures for large defaulters’ real estate is how revenue is collected.

Sadar Kumkum Joshi, the sub-district magistrate, is constantly working to recoup from the city’s major defaulters.

An FIR was filed against Sanjeev Thapliyal, a ten-crore accused defaulter, on the District Magistrate’s orders for allegedly defrauding the state government, evading tax collection, causing checks to bounce, and interfering with government operations.

The Tehsil Sadar grounds hosted a public auction of the connected real estate. wherein Saurabh Mamagai, Neeraj Singh Negi, Gopal Dutt Bhardwaj, and Sanjeev Thapliyal were among the four bidders in attendance.

As stipulated in the auction rules, on the same day immediately after the sale, Sanjeev Thapliyal gave a check for Rs. 2,50,00,000/- (Rs. two crores fifty lakh only), which was equal to one-fourth of the entire auction sum.

However, it is claimed that he had a stop payment placed on the payment of the aforementioned check. According to authorities, this hindered the state government’s ability to collect income and state interest.

In order to clearly cheat the state government, obstruct revenue collection, and impede government work, Sanjeev Thapliyal, the auction recipient, knowingly took part in the aforementioned process, took the auction in his name, and then, in a well-planned conspiracy, gave the check and then had the stop payment of that check completed.

Sanjeev Thapliyal’s aforementioned conduct is thus a major offense. It indicates the potential for the aforementioned illegal conduct to be committed in collusion with the defaulter. Accordingly, authorities reported that Sanjeev Thapliyal was charged with cheating, obstructing government operations, and defrauding a public worker under BNS 2024.
