Big Bash League 2024–25: HUR vs. THU
The Bellerive Oval in Hobart will host the 29th game of the BBL 2024–25 season between the Hobart Hurricanes (HUR) and Sydney Thunder (THU). Rain forced the cancellation of the last meeting between these squads, which makes this battle much more intriguing.
The Hurricanes have won four straight games and are in outstanding form. Their most recent victory against the Adelaide Strikers demonstrated their tenacity. They got a good start while chasing 187, but a rush of wickets caused them to lose steam. But they won thanks in large part to Tim David’s undefeated 62 off 28 balls.
In their most recent game, the Thunder lost to the Brisbane Heat by a slim margin. Even though they got off to a rough start at 129/7, they managed to hit 173, which looked competitive. In the first ten overs, their bowlers put pressure on the Heat, lowering them to a frightening needed run rate of 12 runs per over. But the Heat won thanks to incredible efforts from Renshaw and Bryant.
