In a tragic incident, an eight year old girl died on Friday after collapsing in a private school in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad. The girl came to the school in the morning and after some time she suddenly collapsed in the school lobby. The girl was given CPR by the school administration and 108 ambulance was called and the girl rushed to the hospital, but she was declared dead.

The incident took place in Zebar School, where the girl was studying in the Class 3.

The school's principal Sharmishtha Sinha said that the girl did not have any kind of physical problem while coming to school in the morning. After entering the school, she suddenly felt difficulty in breathing and she sat on the nearby bench, but she collapsed immediately. The school administration gave CPR and the ambulance was called and sent to the nearby hospital, where the doctor declared her dead. The incident has sent shockwaves among the school community.

A CCTV footage of the incident is going viral on the social media, where the girl can be seen sitting on the nearby bench after not feeling well. Then suddenly she collapsed and fall from the bench and faculty members were seen rushing to her for the help.



The girl was living in Ahmedabad with her grandparents, while her parents live in Mumbai. As soon as the girl's condition deteriorated, her parents left for Ahmedabad from Mumbai. According to preliminary information, doctors suspect cardiac arrest as the reason for the death of the girl. The police has decided to get the girl's postmortem (PM) done so that the exact cause of death can be known.

In a similar case, an 8-year-old girl collapsed and died in a private school in Chamarajanagar district in Karnataka.
