Mahakumbh Mela 2025: Maha Kumbh Mela is going to start in Prayagraj from 13 January 2025, this Maha Kumbh will continue till 26 February, in which many royal baths will be held. Indian Railways has planned to operate more than 10,000 trains for the Maha Kumbh, including 3,300 special trains. Additional services will be provided for the convenience of pilgrims during Sangam Snan and other major occasions. Colour-coded waiting and holding areas have been created at railway stations for unreserved passengers.
To facilitate the journey of all passengers, Railways has made arrangements for announcements in more than 12 languages. Along with this, a special information booklet has been prepared in 22 languages, in which information about travel, health services and safety protocols is given. Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Government Railway Police (GRP) officials have been deployed to escort passengers to their trains in an organized manner.

Railways has set up medical booths and small hospitals for first aid and health services at all major stations. Trained medical staff will be available round the clock. Ambulances will be deployed at strategic locations to assist in case of emergency and an emergency plan has also been made with local hospitals.
