The much-awaited film Game Changer starring Ram Charan and Kiara Advani hit cinemas on January 10. The film has already shattered records and set new benchmarks as it not only marks a significant milestone in Ram Charan’s career but also outperformed the opening day collections of his last few films including his last solo release Vinaya Vidheya Rama (VVR). Game Changer Breaks Opening Records The film has already made history as the biggest opener of 2025 grossing Rs 47.13 crore net across the nation and is now aiming for the Rs 50 crore mark. The earnings were broken down as follows: Rs 38 crore from the Telugu version Rs 2 crore from Tamil Rs 7 crore from Hindi Rs 0.1 crore from Kannada and Rs 0.03 crore from Malayalam. The film has been made on a massive budget of approximately Rs 450 crore. In terms of occupancy the Telugu version performed well with 55.82% attendance for morning shows 39.33% for afternoon shows and 50.53% for evening shows. The 4DX Hindi version saw impressive occupancy as well with 82% in the afternoon. Comparison To Other Big Releases Game Changer outperformed the opening of films like Vinaya Vidheya Rama and Acharya both starring big names like Chiranjeevi. However it didn’t surpass the opening of RRR the SS Rajamouli-directed blockbuster which earned Rs 133 crore on its opening day. About Game Changer Directed by S. Shankar the film stars Ram Charan in dual roles alongside Anjali Kiara Advani S. J. Suryah Srikanth Sunil Jayaram and Samuthirakani. The film revolves around Ram Nandan (Ram Charan) an IPS officer turned IAS struggling with anger issues but driven by a strong sense of integrity. His goal is to create a corruption-free Vizag and serve the people with dedication. Meanwhile Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Satyamurthy (Srikanth) experiences a change of heart as his past wrongdoings catch up with him in his old age. Standing in opposition to both is Mopidevi (Suryah) a ruthless politician and the son of Satyamurthy who is determined to seize power at any cost. The story unfolds as Ram and Mopidevi clash leading to an intense power struggle. The film has been shot across India Japan China Malaysia Cambodia and New Zealand.
