Gurucharan Singh beloved for his role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is currently hospitalized due to health complications. His co-star Jennifer Mistry opened up about his condition and the personal struggles he’s facing. Speaking to Times Now Jennifer revealed that Gurucharan is burdened with a debt of Rs 1.50 crore and had pinned his hopes on Bigg Boss 18 to help him overcome these financial issues. Jennifer shared that both she and Gurucharan were approached for the current season of Bigg Boss and he was relying on the show to end his tough financial phase. “Gurucharan was very dependent on Bigg Boss for monetary reasons. He was sure that entering the show would resolve his financial troubles but things didn’t work out. I think he took the rejection very seriously which affected his health. He stopped eating and drinking” she said. Jennifer expressed deep concern for Gurucharan’s well-being urging him to focus on clearing his debts by working. “I’m very worried about him. I tried to reach him but his number is unreachable. His parents are elderly and I feel sad for them. Gurucharan has been struggling with debt for a long time and despite my advice he remained adamant” she added. Meanwhile a close friend of Gurucharan Bhakti Soni also shared a worrying update. She revealed that Gurucharan has stopped eating and drinking altogether and that his family has gone unreachable with their phones switched off. “Gurucharan wanted to renounce the world (take sanyas). I’ve been in touch with his mother for updates. Unfortunately his health worsened and he had to be hospitalized twice. He is currently in a government hospital where he is receiving treatment” Soni said in an interview with ETimes. Fans and colleagues alike are hoping for Gurucharan’s speedy recovery as he continues to face both physical and emotional challenges.
