Indore Horror: 4-Month-Old Baby Falls On Road After Mother's Saree Gets Entangled In Bike Tyre, Dies

Indore (Madhya Pradesh): A four-month-old baby died while her mother sustained injuries after the woman’s saree got caught in a bike tyre under Kshipra police station limits on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred on Indore-Dewas Road around 2:30 pm when the couple was traveling to a temple in Dewas with their daughter.

According to MY police staff, the deceased was identified as Nitya, daughter of Sanju Ahirwar, a resident of Lasudiya Parmar. Her father Sanju said that they were on their way to Dewas Tekri on a bike, and he was riding the bike. In mid-way, his wife Nisha’s saree got entangled in the bike’s tyre, causing both mother and daughter to fall onto the road.

The baby suffered a severe head injury. A passerby in a car assisted the couple, taking them to a nearby private hospital.

After initial treatment, doctors referred the baby to MY Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Nitya was the couple’s only child. Sanju said that they had been married for two and a half years and were taking their daughter to a temple as he had taken a 'mannat' that he would take her baby to the temple.

Sanju works for a pharmaceutical company in the Lasudia area and has been living in Lasudia Parmar for the past six years. He is originally hailed from Ashoknagar. Nisha also sustained injuries to her head and arm and is undergoing treatment.
