An influencer who was invited on a lunch by a handsome man was stunned to discover it was actually a family affair.

Débora Porto, who is a body-positive content creator with over two million followers on , is known for sharing intimate details of her online. The 35-year-old Brazilian has hit headlines in the past for speaking out about her so-called 'Baby Food Diet' as well as opening up about her struggles to embrace her body.

Her latest anecdote has proven to be quite the curveball, however. After being asked out on a date by a man at her gym, Débora says she spent their first lunch date meeting his entire family - at his mum's house.

"We met while working out on machines close to each other," Débora explained "We ended up casually chatting about workouts and it was clear we had a connection. He took my number and a few days later he invited me over for lunch. It seemed like a fun but casual thing."

"I was excited but also a little nervous because I didn’t know exactly what to expect," Débora recalled. "I didn’t think it would be anything formal." However, after arriving at the address, Débora, discovered the pair weren’t alone.

"I discovered it was lunch… but at his mum’s house, with the whole family gathered," she continued. "I was very uncomfortable because I wasn’t prepared for this kind of situation. It’s not every day you go on a date and end up in the middle of a family reunion. I stayed for lunch and I tried to keep my composure, even though everyone was looking at me with curiosity."

She added that while she tried to remain composed, she was "unsure of how to act" under the gaze of so many watchful eyes. "I was truly speechless," she admitted. "It was a bit tense, but I tried not to show it. I kept asking myself what was going on and how I should react." Débora managed to stay for a few hours though and confessed: "I can’t say I fully enjoyed it. It was hard to relax with so many eyes on me."

She closed: In the end, I thanked them for their hospitality and was polite, but I was relieved to leave. I spoke to my date as I was leaving. He apologised for not warning me beforehand, and I explained that I’d prefer to know in advance to avoid discomfort. Today, I see it as an unusual experience and something that taught me to always ask for more details before accepting invitations!"
