Due to Mahakumbh, the hotel industry of Prayagraj and surrounding cities has also gained momentum. There is a huge increase in bookings from hotels and travel companies. The hotels of Prayagraj are completely booked and travel companies also have less seats left. According to an Oyo spokesperson, there has been a two-fold increase in bookings due to Maha Kumbh and the demand for rooms has increased up to three times during the Shahi Snan days.

UP government will get revenue worth lakhs of crores from Mahakumbh

According to government estimates, if 40 crore tourists visit Mahakumbh and they spend an average of Rs 5,000, its total business could be Rs 2 lakh crore. At the same time, if per capita expenditure increases to Rs 10,000, then this figure can exceed Rs 4 lakh crore. In such a situation, the UP government can get a revenue of about Rs 25,000 crore, which will strengthen the economic condition of the state.
