Bihar Labor Resources Minister Santosh Kumar Singh on Tuesday claimed that a person calling himself gangster Lawrence Bishnoi has threatened to kill him. The minister lodged a police complaint in this regard. He said that a call came on my mobile phone on Tuesday. The caller identified himself as Lawrence Bishnoi and asked for Rs 30 lakh. After some time, he called again and reminded me of the Baba Siddiqui murder case and threatened to kill me in the same manner if I did not pay the money.
Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Baba Siddiqui in Maharashtra was shot dead in October 2024. He said that the caller also told me the way to send money.
The minister said that I immediately informed the DGP and also lodged a complaint with the police. There is neither any (criminal) case registered against me nor any political enmity. The police is investigating the matter. Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Avakash Kumar said that a case has been registered in this regard at the Kotwali police station. Besides, SIT has also been formed.
Santosh Singh said that the caller told that he was calling Lawrence Bishnoi. Give me 30 lakh rupees. I disconnected the call. Then he messaged that the way Baba Siddiqui was murdered, if you do not send Rs 30 lakh within 24 hours, then be prepared to face the consequences.
The minister told that when he messaged, we said come, we are sitting in Niyojan Bhawan. On this he said that we are sending a man, but when he called, I did not pick up. Then messaged that I am sending a man and give the money. Your car number is 0011. Accept it, otherwise be prepared to face the consequences. Talking about Baba Siddiqui, he was shot dead in Mumbai on 12 October 2024. Investigation revealed that the shooter was in contact with Anmol Bishnoi, brother of Lawrence Bishnoi. Now it has to be seen what comes out of the matter after this investigation.
