Ranchi:- These days, Bharatiya Janata Party is busy running membership campaign in the state. Under this, a target has been set to make 60 lakh primary members by January 31. In the first phase of this campaign, the date of becoming a primary member has been extended from January 15 to January 14 and the date for becoming an active member as well as a primary member has been extended till January 31.
In a program organized at the BJP state office on Wednesday to make active members, the membership form was issued by many leaders including State President Babulal Marandi, Organization General Secretary Karmaveer Singh, MLA Naveen Jaiswal, membership campaign in-charge Rakesh Prasad. Announcement was made to make active members in online and offline mode. On this occasion, BJP State President Babulal Marandi said that due to elections, the membership campaign has started late in three states including Jharkhand, while talking about making more and more members. According to Rakesh Prasad, state coordinator of BJP membership campaign, the party has set a target of making two active members at each booth. Only those who make at least 50 primary members will become active members. He said that there is a lot of enthusiasm among the workers to become active members and party leaders are visiting across the state.
Miss call is becoming a problem
Jharkhand BJP's membership campaign, which started late due to assembly elections, is continuing at a slow pace. In the membership drive which started from 22nd December, about 41 lakh people have expressed their desire through missed calls to become members by 14th January. Among the missed calls made by people, there are about seven lakh such people who either missed calls from other states to become members or stayed away from becoming members without completing the online application. The phone numbers of all such people who want to get membership based on missed call are being contacted by the members of the special team formed in the BJP office. According to Rakesh Prasad, 20 computers have been installed for the membership campaign which are checking missed calls or membership applications filed online. He claimed that the party will definitely be successful in making members as per the set target.

Earlier, the process of becoming a member of BJP was through a missed call, but this time the missed call alone will not work, but through the OTP coming after the missed call, a link will be sent to the concerned mobile holders on their mobile by the BJP server, which will have to be opened. After this you will have to fill the online form and submit it. If this process is not followed then you will not be able to become a member. To become a member, the party has issued a mobile number 8800002024 on which a missed call is made. Apart from this, those who want to become members through Namo app. Arrangements have been made to send them a link, after opening that link they can become members by filling the online application.
