Karan Johar recalls his first meeting with Farah Khan, reveals what she did, it has Amitabh Bachchan connection

In 2024 Farah Khan launched a cooking show on her YouTube channel where she invited different celebrities to the show and made their favourite meals with them. The show has gained popularity attracting several stars including Nargis Fakhri Ananya Pandey Ali Fazal Shehnaaz Gill Zakir Khan and Archana Puran Singh. In the latest episode Farah Khan visited her long-time friend Karan Johar and their lively conversation turned into a trip down memory lane. As they reminisced about their shared history the two revealed funny anecdotes from their decades-long bond. Their First Few Meetings Before they dived into cooking Karan Johar recalled his childhood days with Farah Khan. He shared a humorous story from when he was very young and went to watch the iconic Amitabh Bachchan film Main Azaad Hoon. Karan Johar was watching the movie seriously when he noticed Farah Khan sitting next to him fast asleep. He amusingly described how she woke up briefly only to get up and leave the theatre shortly after. He said Main dekh raha tha preview theatre mein main baitha hua tha aur main woh picture bahut seriously dekh raha tha aur jab maine mudke dekha toh Farah Khan sakshaat so rahi thi wahan. Fir woh uthkar chali gayi aur yeh meri pehli mulaqat hai. Farah Khan laughed and added her own story about their second meeting at a film preview. She recalled that during a serious scene a child in the audience was crying uncontrollably. She said Dusri mulaqat… main ek picture dekhne gayi thi jahaan serious scene chal raha tha aur ek bachcha wahan zor zor se has raha tha. Karan Johar’s presence on the show was heartwarming given their decades-long friendship. Karan Johars Upcoming Work On his 52nd birthday in 2024 Karan Johar made a big announcement about his upcoming directorial project which is slated for release in the second half of 2025. Recently he was seen on popular reality shows Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and India’s Got Talent. Karan Johar is also set to direct Dhadak 2 a much-awaited sequel that will star Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi in 2025.
