Reports of dressing room information leaks during the BGT series have intensified scrutiny, prompting a review meeting at the BCCI headquarters. The meeting, attended by captain Rohit Sharma, head coach Gautam Gambhir, and chief selector Ajit Agarkar, focused on addressing concerns.According to a News 24 report, Gambhir accused batter Sarfaraz Khan of leaking dressing room information during the tour. Sarfaraz, who didn’t feature in any of the five Tests, allegedly revealed Gambhir’s dressing room outburst after India’s Boxing Day Test defeat. The report added that BCCI stakeholders were unhappy with Sarfaraz, and his future in the national team remains uncertain. However, there is no confirmation on this against Sarfaraz, and neither anyone has commented on the matter. After a disappointing performance in the Boxing Day Test, Gautam Gambhir reportedly expressed his frustration with the entire team in the dressing room, stating, "Bahut Ho Gaya" (Enough is enough). However, before the Sydney Test, Gambhir denied reports about rifts within the team during a pre-match press conference. He said, “Debates between coach and player should remain in the dressing room, stern words. they were just reports, not truth."India’s disappointing series performance has placed Gambhir’s position as head coach under scrutiny, with a decision expected after the upcoming Champions Trophy. Senior players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are also under pressure after subpar performances regarding there future in test cricket.
