Devarshi Shah , who ended 2024 on a professional high with his impressive performance in The Great Gujarati Matrimony , is all set to marry his fiancée, Saloni Mehta , a fashion and celebrity stylist , in Udaipur on January 19. The couple, who will tie the knot amidst close friends and family, is hosting a pre-wedding reception in Ahmedabad before that.

The couple made their relationship official through a roka ceremony in December 2022. Devarshi says, “For both of us, our respective careers are very important, and we wanted to reach a certain stage in our professional lives before taking the plunge. Also, Saloni was young when we started dating, so I waited for her to be ready for marriage.”

‘We will be shifting to Mumbai after our wedding’
Asked about their honeymoon plans, they share, “There are no plans yet.” Devarshi says, “We are shifting to Mumbai after the wedding and will set up our base there. We were living in Mumbai but had shifted to Ahmedabad before COVID. We will continue to work here and also take up projects in Mumbai.”
Saloni adds, “Since we will be setting up our own home together, we want to focus and spend some time adjusting to our new lives. We aren’t planning any trips now but will go on a holiday later this year.”


Hailing from similar yet different industries, our relationship has taken us through phases where we have tackled each other’s good and bad days and grown together. It was not our plan to get married this year, but things just fell into place

The way Devarshi proposed to me, amidst our family and close friends, was beautiful and unreal. He had told me that he would do it closer to our wedding day and in a movie theatre, but the way he involved my entire family to talk about us in a 90-minute video made me very emotional
