New Delhi: Early in the morning of January 16, 2025, Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Bandra residence was broken into by a man. The encounter turned physical when the man entered Saif’s son Jeh’s room at 2 AM in the night. While Saif Ali Khan sustained major injuries, the son’s nanny and another staff member are said to have sustained injuries during the attempted burglary.
Saif was rushed to the hospital with six stab wounds at 3:30 AM. The actor was moved into the ICU for a thoracic spinal cord injury and is now out of danger. After an FIR was filed, the actor’s staff members recounted the incident and revealed shocking details.
As per the official FIR filed at Mumbai’s Bandra police station, the attacker entered the house through an adjacent house. The man has now been identified after being caught on CCTV footage. According to a report by the Economic TimesEliyama Philip, a nurse employed at Saif Ali Khan’s residence was the first person who came across the intruder. While speaking to the police, she stated that the attacker demanded Rs 1 crore and when she resisted, she was attacked with a stick and a blade.
Following this, Saif Ali Khan’s son’s nanny, Junu, screamed for help which alerted Saif and Kareena about the intruder. Saif then went on to put himself between the staff, his family and the attacker and was stabbed multiple times in the back, shoulder, neck and wrist. Along with Saif, another staff member, Geeta, was also injured before the attacker fled the scene.
After the attacker fled, Kareena called her son Ibrahim to their home. Ibrahim could not get a hold of any drivers and rushed his father to the hospital in an autorickshaw at 3 AM in the night.
