As first revealed by , Al-Hilal have resumed contact with Salah's representatives to discuss the prospect of the Liverpool star playing in Saudi Arabia next season.
They are expecting to part ways with Neymar at the end of the campaign in a move which will free up both a significant sum of money from getting his salary off the books and, crucially, a free spot for another overseas player. Neymar has suffered from injuries during his expensive stint in Saudi, and is looking to move.
He has opened talks with three MLS teams over moving to America this year, and has voiced his desire to reunite with and Luis Suarez at Inter Miami - although it's understood they are not one of the three sides with which he is holding talks at this point.

Speaking earlier this month, Salah reiterated that he and the club were no closer to an agreement, telling Sky Sports: “There is nothing, no progress there. We are far away from any progress so we just need to wait and see.”
He sparked further fears over his future by again implying that, as things stand, this is final season at Anfield, adding: “I think the thing in my head is OK if this is your last six months or last year, what do you want to see in the future? Do you want to look back and say, ‘Ih I was concerned about the contract or stressed?’ or do you just want to say, ‘Ok I had an unbelievable season’.
“So that is in my head now. If I feel a kind of distraction I just remind myself, ‘OK you want to look back and say I had an unbelievable season’, so that’s what I want to do.”
