Speaking to the gathering, Dhami said he was certain that the BJP will create a new record in the forthcoming January 23 civic elections thanks to the tremendous support of the electorate.

The Chief Minister said that the BJP candidates will win by a landslide because of the extraordinary support of women, young people, and older persons. In order to guarantee complete development across Uttarakhand, he asked people to vote in huge numbers for Thapliyal, highlighting the significance of a “triple engine government” at the federal, state, and local levels.

Dhami cited the BJP’s prior triumph, pointing out that the party received 18,000 votes to win the last mayoral election, and he projected that the margin will treble this year. “The enthusiasm of the people, even in this winter, assures me of BJP’s overwhelming victory,” he said.

Dhami highlighted notable accomplishments during the BJP government, such as Uttarakhand’s lowest unemployment rate in years and its top ranking in the Sustainable Development Goals according to NITI Aayog. He also spoke on the Uniform Civil Code’s successful approval and impending implementation, which was a major election pledge in 2022.

In addition to highlighting impending milestones like holding the 38th National Games in the Raipur Assembly constituency, the chief minister discussed Uttarakhand’s quick advancements in areas like health and education. He said that another milestone in the state’s progress will be reached when Prime Minister Narendra Modi officially opened the games.

The dates for the 2024–2025 Municipal Local Body General Elections were formally declared by the Uttarakhand State Election Commission. Votes will be counted on January 25 after elections for 46 Nagar Panchayats, 43 Municipal Councils, and 11 Municipal Corporations are conducted across the state on January 23.
