Bollywood often faces criticism for nepotism and favouring family members. However today well discuss an actor whose elder brother is a top Bollywood star. Despite this he has alleged that his brother was envious of him and attempted to sabotage his career. We are talking about Faisal Khan son of renowned director and producer Tahir Hussain and younger brother of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan. Faisal began his acting journey at the age of 3. He portrayed the younger version of Shashi Kapoors character in his uncle Nasir Hussains 1969 film Pyar Ka Mausam. As an adult Faisal made his on-screen debut in Aamir Khans blockbuster film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) making a minor appearance in the rom-com. Later he also had an uncredited role as a college student in Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar (1992). Also Faisal contributed behind the scenes as an assistant director in his fathers 1990 film Tum Mere Ho featuring Aamir in the lead role. Faisal Khans first solo film was Madhosh (1994) that did not perform well at the box office. After a five-year hiatus the actor returned to the screen in Mela (2000) directed by Dharmesh Darshan where he starred alongside his brother Aamir Khan. Despite high expectations Mela was a commercial and critical failure though Faisals performance was appreciated. Subsequently Faisal appeared in several films including Kaboo Dushmani Border Hindustan Ka Basti Aandhi and Chand Bujh Gaya which did not achieve significant success. In 2007 Faisal was reported missing for two days. Prior to this he had filed a police report accusing his brother Aamir Khan of confining him at home under the belief that Faisal was mentally ill. This led to a custody battle between Aamir and their father Tahir Hussain which attracted significant media attention. Ultimately custody was granted to their father. In an interview with Hindustan Times Faisal addressed the whole situation and stated Frankly I was never ill.. what has been said so far was speculative and spread by my elder brother Aamir Khan and other family members. In fact I was kidnapped... I was under house arrest unwanted drugs were given to me. On the judgment day Judge Saab announced that I was not suffering from any illness.. and that I was normal and capable of handling life on my own. I should be treated as a normal person. During the same conversation Faisal mentioned that hes cordial with Aamir and they meet each other on occasions. Meanwhile on the professional front Faisal last appeared in the psychological thriller film Faactory. He also made his debut in Kannada films with Oppanda.
