"They’re 2-0 and the defending for the goals wasn’t good enough," he told Sky Sports. "You’ve got to be solid. It was too lackadaisical. If you want to win Premier Leagues you’ve got to be on it.
"Every weekend you’ve got to turn up and make it hard. If we look at Partey on the second goal, it’s atrocious. Partey [second goal] when we watch it again. I can’t believe it."

Merson was downbeat on Arsenal's title hopes after the disappointing result and said he would be "shocked" if Liverpool failed to capture the crown.
"Liverpool scoring two goals in injury time, Arsenal 2-0 up, back to two all," he added. "[It's] a massive swing. I’ll be shocked now if Liverpool didn’t go on to win the league."
