Hrithik Roshans filmography boasts a several successful movies in his career. One of the film that emerged as a turning point in his career was Koi...Mil Gaya. Directed by veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan the film was released on August 8 2003 three years after he made Kaho Naa...Pyaar Hai his son Hrithiks debut film.
Koi...Mil Gaya revolved around Rohit Mehra (Hrithik) a developmentally challenged boy whose life transformed when he met an alien Jadoo (extraterrestrial being). Also starring Preity Zinta and Rekha the sci-fi action film became an instant box office success. Hrithik also acted alongside then-child actors Hansika Motwani Omkar Purohit Jai Choksi Mohit Makkad and Pranita Bishnoi. Made in Rs 35 crore the film earned Rs 82 crore becoming the second highest-grossing Indian film of the year.
The love and appreciation Koi...Mil Gaya received motivated Rakesh Roshan and Hrithik to take story forward as a film franchise with Krrish (2006). It earned over Rs 69 crore nett in India alone and was classified as a blockbuster by Box office India. It also grossed Rs 31.68 crore in the overseas market where it was declared a hit. The final worldwide total gross was Rs 126 crore.
Later in 2013 Rakesh Roshan released third installment of the film titled Krrish 3. The film starring Hrithik Roshan in the titular role became a massive blockbuster. It also featured Priyanka Chopra Kangana Ranaut and Vivek Oberoi. Made in Rs 95 crore the film grossed Rs 393 to 669 crore worldwide.
Well reportedly the fourth part of Krrish is all set to be released in 2025. According to a report by Midday the film is finally set to go on floors over a decade after the release of Krrish 3. Hrithik will deep dive into the ambitious project after completing the shoot for War 2 where he stars alongside Jr NTR.
