On the one hand, where Mumbai couldn’t get enough of the Coldplay concert , the British band’s artists couldn’t thank the city enough for being so generous, authentic, magical, and dreamy. In a social media post, shared by the band’s official X handle, one can see and feel the warmth and love pouring.

The post features all four band members, as they posed in front of the Mumbai audience on the final day of their concert at the DY Patil Stadium . “From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Mumbai (green, white, and saffron hearts emojis, representing the Tiranga). It was a dream come true to play three concerts in your beautiful city. We will never forget how you made us feel. We’ll be back! (sparkle emojis),” their post read.

On the other hand, in a viral video, originally shared two days ago, Coldplay fans have shown their love for the band and its music. The said video featured a coach packed with fans who broke into a spontaneous rendition of Coldplay’s ‘ Hymn for the Weekend .’ These fans were on their way back from the concert, and it was visible that they were not over the band’s magical spell.

Phones lit up the scene as passengers played the track and sang in unison. It was nothing short of a tribute to the band, whose next step is Ahmedabad.

Coldplay is doing their second tour in India. On day 1 in Mumbai, which was on January 18, 2025, Chris Martin interacted with the fans in Marathi. He said, “Tumhee saghre aaj chaan distat’ (You all look beautiful today)."

He went on to win hearts by flaunting his Hindi, “Aap sab ka bahut swagat hai humare show pe. Mumbai mein aakar hume bahut khushi ho rahi hai. (You're all very welcome to our show. We feel happy after coming to Mumbai).”

“Sorry, my Hindi and Marathi are bad but I tried my best," Chris said before switching to English.

In another heartfelt moment, he shared, "This is our fourth visit to India, the second time playing... We couldn’t have asked for a better audience. It’s amazing you welcome us.”
