Recently, Bill Gates posted a video in which he recreates an experiment he conducted when still in the fourth grade. The former CEO of Microsoft, a well-known software corporation, is getting ready to release Source Code: My Beginnings. It will include a few of his early tales. One such fascinating tale is shared by Gates in a recent Instagram video. He related how he once brought cow lungs to class, shocking his instructor and other students. In addition, the millionaire said that one of his female classmates passed out after seeing the experiment he conducted in class.

“So, in the fourth grade, my teacher said, ‘Bring in something interesting for show and tell,'” Bill Gates said in the video. “We could go to the slaughterhouse and get a cow lung,” my dad suggested, I believe, while we were speaking. And I was like, “Wow, that’s a really good idea.” Thus, we lifted it and placed it inside a white sheet. We were both amazed and disgusted when we opened it. To be honest, I didn’t wear gloves. I experimented with it and saw some air entering and exiting. A girl passed out.

“Hey, that was great, but get that thing out of the class,” the businessman said, quoting his instructor. “I think it was a big hit,” he said afterwards.

Bill Gates posted the video on Instagram and commented, “I don’t think my teacher expected a cow lung when she said, ‘Bring something interesting’ for show and tell.” It’s just one of many childhood tales I tell in my recently released book, Source Code. The post’s comment area was disabled by the business magnate.

In February of this year, his book “Source Code: My Beginnings” is scheduled to be released. The precise date has not yet been disclosed.
